Bulawayo City face Impressive CIWU

By Mandlenkosi Ncube

Leaders Bulawayo City will be aiming to remain on track in their quest to regain promotion into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, in yet another weekend that promises spills and thrills in the ZIFA Southern Region Division One league.

City, who had a bye last weekend, will be even more confident of returning to action with a win against third placed CIWU after seeing second placed Talen Vision fail to capitalize on their game in hand last weekend.

Talen Vision will hope to bounce back to winning ways following their back to back draws against Mosi Rovers and Binga Pirates respectively when they welcome fifth placed ZPC Hwange at Luveve Stadium on Friday.

Vision’s new signing from Chicken Inn Obadiah Tarumbwa is expected to make his first start for Vision after a ruling from ZIFA barred him from making his debut at Mosi last weekend.

The weekend’s action starts with an early kick off as sixth placed Bosso 90 host Indlovu Iyanyathela at Luveve Stadium.

A fierce relegation battle will be on the cards when bottom sides Toronto and Casmyn clash at the Khumalo Barracks on Saturday.

Meanwhile Ajax Hotspurs would be hoping to pull clear from the relegation when they play Binga Pirates in Binga.
