XOLISANI MOYO scored the only goal at the Baobab Stadium as Ngezi Platinum Stars maintained their perfect start to the season with a big win over Dynamos on Thursday.

It was Moyo’s second goal inside two matches after he scored as the platinum miners beat Triangle 2-0 last Sunday. Ngezi started the season with a 2-0 win over newcomers Herentals on the opening day of the season. They sit at the top of the log with three wins out of three in which they are yet to concede.

Champions FC Platinum and 2016 Champions Caps United also remained unbeaten after they played to a goalless draw at the National Sports Stadium in Harare. FC platinum lie in second position and for Caps United who kept their second clean sheet of the season, they have played three draws in their three matches. It was the third goalless draw of the season.

Darryl Nyandoro scored the fourth brace of the season as Chicken inn also maintained their unbeaten run with a 2-1 win over Mutare City at Luveve Stadium. Mutare City has lost all of its opening three matches of the season and scored through Billy Vheremu.

New comers Bulawayo Chiefs remained unbeaten as they recorded their third draw of the season and they are yet to taste a win. Bulawayo City had taken the lead through former How Miner Player Timothy January at Babourfields stadium but Chiefs equalised from the spot through Arthur Musiiwa, in what was the third goal from the spot this season.

Another of the new comers in the league Herentals tasted their first goal and first win in top flight football as they shocked ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga stadium 1-0. The “Students” scored through Blessing Majarira. Herentals had lost its opening two matches by identical score lines of 2-0 to Ngezi Platinum Stars and Highlanders respectively. ZPC kariba are pointless in their opening three matches of the season in which they are yet to score a goal.

Allan Tavariswa and Martin Vengesai both scored their second goals of the season as their teams Chapungu and Harare City respectively played to a 1-1 draw at Ascot Stadium in Gweru. City remain unbeaten with two draws and a win while Chapungu have lost one, won one and this was their first draw in the new season.

Former Motor Action, Highlanders and Dynamos midfielder Masimba Mambare scored his second goal of the season but that was not enough as his Black Rhinos lost 3-1 to Yadah FC who scored through Wilson Chakanyuka, Leeroy Murape and Jimmy Dzingai at Rufaro stadium in the capital.

Match day three will be completed on Friday as unbeaten Highlanders face winless Triangle at Babourfields Stadium in Bulawayo. Unbeaten midlands sides Shabanie and new comers Nichrut clash at Maglass stadium in Zvishavane.
